Supporting academic excellence through writing development
The IACER Writing Center is a dedicated resource for students across all programs who wish to develop their academic writing skills. Writing is central to IACER's mission, and the Writing Center provides the structured support students need to produce high-quality academic work.
The center offers one-on-one consultations with writing mentors, group workshops on specific writing skills, peer review sessions, and access to a comprehensive library of writing resources and citation guides.
The Writing Center is open to all IACER students from BECS, M.A., and M.Phil. programs, and is staffed by faculty, senior students, and visiting writing specialists.

Meet with a writing mentor to discuss your paper at any stage — from brainstorming and outlining to drafting, revision, and citation. Sessions are 45 minutes.
Submit your draft for written feedback on structure, argument, clarity, grammar, and citation. Feedback is returned within 3 business days.
Regular workshops on specific writing topics: thesis statements, literature reviews, research proposals, academic grammar, MLA citation, and more.
Access guides on academic writing, MLA and APA citation, research methodology, grammar, and sample research papers from previous IACER students.
Structured sessions where students exchange drafts and provide constructive feedback to each other, building a collaborative writing community.
Specialized support for M.Phil. thesis writers at all stages: prospectus, literature review, methodology, writing chapters, and final submission.
Learn to construct clear, compelling arguments in academic writing. Open to all IACER students. Duration: 2 hours.

A hands-on session covering MLA 9th edition citation for books, journal articles, websites, and other sources. Practice exercises included.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Writing Center
A workshop on how to read, synthesize, and write an effective literature review for research papers and M.Phil. theses.
